• Licensing and control of Taxi Cabs

• Public Lavatories

• Control of Stock

• Conveyance of Meat

• Slaughterhouse

• Public Parks or Open Space

• Markets

• Licensing of Dogs

• Public Roads and Streets

• The Local Government (Agricultural Produces Cess Adoptive By-Laws Order 2008)

• Issuing of Notices, Orders, Advertisement etc

• Nursing Homes and Maternity

• Disposal of Corpses and Burial

• Second hand Goods

• Hawkers

• Hand Carts / Hamali Carts in Public Street

• Hair Dressers and Barbers

• Conservancy / Environmental

• Licensing of Slaughter men

• Gratuity

• Control of Persons

• Solid Waste Management

• Pounds

The general purpose of making and adopting these By-Laws is spelt out in each and every By-Law. The Council intends through these By-Laws to control, regulate, prohibit, prevent require or compel the doing of any of the things which it is empowered by the Local Government Act or any other legislation. The public and interested parties can purchase a copy of the By-Laws at the Council Cash Office of the Municipal Council of Eldoret from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm on working days.
