COUNCIL DEPARTMENTS

The Municipal Council of Eldoret has seven (7) Departments that are managed by Chief Officers all under the stewardship of the Town Clerk (Chief Executive).

The Departments which deliver services to the residents of Eldoret Municipality are:

TOWN CLERK
It is responsible for the overall management of the Council's affairs, formulation and implementation of Council policy.

The Municipal Council has an annual budget of over Kshs.
584,329,123 million which is collected for services rendered and is managed by this Department.

Services offered by the Department include road and street lighting maintenance, plus fire fighting.

EDUCATION
The Department is responsible for supervision of teachers and management of school curriculum and general education programmes, in the public and private schools within the Municipality.

It is responsible for maintaining a healthy, safe and clean environment, including disease control activities.

The services provided by the Department include, social programmes for helping the destitute and orphaned children, in addition to the management and maintenance of The Council's:-
